This is in response to a friend of mine being flamed because of being dyslexic.
For those of you who don't know, the most common sign of dyslexia I've known is the inablity to tell left and right or getting them mixed up. I have it. My mother has it. My uncle has it. Some of my friends have it. I had a roleplay buddy who was so dyslexic, she couldn't write a full sentence let alone word without reversing some lettering along the line. BUT... aside from my uncle, who at the time of his birth would/should have been considered having Downs Syndrome... All the people I know that have it are extremely gifted in some form. Be it artistically, writing (despite the difficulties), or anything for that matter. I have it genetically because of it running so strong in my family but I can't tell my left and right as compared to some of my family. My left eye doesn't work like it should, I have also what's considered "lazy eye" where the muscles are either underdeveloped or weaker than they should be. Again, genetic. After reading the comment left on my friend's page, I am frankly disgusted (misspelled that three times) with dA. You're low life if you flame someone who has an impairment of ANY kind. I have a breakdown between my ability to read and speak. I can read super fast, and speak clearly, but I can't read even a single sentence out loud because of dyslexia. I trip up a few words in.
